Satsang with Indradyumna Swami
On Monday 30 November, we hosted Indradyumna Swami from ISKCON for a special dinner and Satsang. And it was extraordinary. The ashramites prepared all day, and the celebrations went into the night. Indradyumna brought along his devotees – the international cast of his world famous ‘Carnivale Spirituel’ – which is touring Australia.
Swamiji and Indradyumna’s mutual respect and love for each other was obvious throughout the night. Indradyumna was greeted with a warm welcome by Swamiji and entered the ashram for an exquisite feast. After dinner we all met up in the Kailas Nivas meditation hall for talks by the two teachers.
Indradyumna’s talk was bookended by dancing and chanting by members of his group. Everyone in the room was swept up in the celebration of the divine name. For the final chant of the night, Swamiji, Devi Ma, Indradyumna Swami and all the musicians sat in the middle of the room, and we danced around in ‘dancing saptah’ formation. It could have gone on all night. The room was charged with energy and the night closed with a rousing rendition of the Nityananda Arati, which everyone chanted with all their hearts.
