| Last year, on the anniversary of 9/11, Swamiji was inspired to find a way to reframe that date as an invocation of compassion and understanding, rather than hatred and violence.
For that reason, the Shiva Ashram hosted the first Shiva Interfaith Awards Satsang, in
conjunction with the inauguration of Shree Gurudev Hall.
This year, on September 10th, the second annual Shiva Interfaith Awards Satsang will
be held, in which the contribution of a number of outstanding members of the interfaith
community will be acknowledged.
There will also be the unveiling of an Interfaith Garden which was commissioned to
commemorate the event. And the Shiva Ashram will host a Multifaith Youth Retreat,
which is supported by the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
