Our Spring Enchantment Carnivale took place in the grounds of the ashram on Sunday 16th September. As befits spring in Melbourne, the day starting windy and stormy, but magically began to clear as the crowds began to arrive. The ashram was transformed into a wonderland of all things mystical with healings, psychic readers, an enchanted forest (for the kids), makeovers, free meditations and yoga classes. Ashramites and householders became fairies and other assorted magical beings as they ran stalls, cooked burgers, sold organic vegies, directed cars, made coffee, played music and spoke to the crowds. The event is a popular one on the Mt Eliza calendar and draws a large number of locals many of whom said that they had always wondered what went on in the ashram, and were now going to return to take meditation classes. The event is also a fundraiser for the Ashram and helps us with our building program
