We were deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the violent deaths of Alan Scherr and his 13 year old daughter Naomi in the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Alan and Naomi were attending meditation programs with their teacher, Master Charles, when the Oberoi hotel they were staying in was attacked. Three other members of the party were also shot and the group were held hostage for 45 hours.
Swamiji said: “I knew Alan very well. He is a fine and dedicated man. It is terribly sad that he and his beautiful daughter should experience such a tragedy. We send our love and blessings to them and to their family, and also to Master Charles and his community”.
Members of our satsang remember Alan fondly from his involvement with the Three Gurus program in Melbourne and Los Angeles. Our sympathy goes to his wife Kia, Alan’s family and the Synchronicity community.
